Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth
The hiss of a guillotine rang in 14 year old Zino’s ear as he jumped off the trolley outside of the Urantia Colosseum. An intense line formed around the arena as thousands prepared to hear the final speech of the Prophet GZA. Coincidentally, the Shogun of the Imperial Court held monthly executions across the street for GZA’s followers to see. Science thought his baby brother Zino was scared of the executions, but he was fearless.
“It’s just like G said in Liquid Swords, you gotta be a child educator and a head amputator. So I ain’t scared of the guillotine, I’m just waiting on my day to decapitate a Shogun myself.”
And as mayhem formed, GZA sat at the top floor of Urantia. He was a time traveler, who traveled from the future to warn the Nerabu Civilization of the Overwhelming Event of the future: Armageddon. There had been reports that today was the final speech GZA would make before his disappearance. He planned to finally shut up the disbelievers by producing the book of truth: Urantia. He called this book “The Final Receipt.”
GZA rose from his desk and made his way down to address his people; accompanied by his security detail.
Simultaneously, Zino darted his attention to melee up the street. GZA was making his appearance. But to everyone’s surprise he stood atop of the steps of Urantia.
“Woah, is he doing the speech from out here? Oh SHIT! Look Sci, look!” Zino screamed in excitement.
Standing above the huge crowd of supporters and disbelievers, the Prophet stood there speechless. He raised a thick blue hard cover book over his head that read the words “The Urantia Book.” The first piece of literature of its kind they’d ever seen. The crowd erupted.
“IT’S REAL! HE HAS RISEN!” Zino exclaimed as he jumped up and down. Science stood there in disbelief, unsure what would happen next.
The crowd then chanted “HE HAS RISEN!” in unison as GZA walked through the line of thousands to shake the hands of the believers there to support him.
His goal was to read them all. He read them the same as he read thousands of books while in C-74 in the tombs of Rikers Island. He was searching for a mind strong enough to carry this knowledge for generations. As GZA got through the queue, his head of security, RZA, reached for his sword.
GZA locked eyes with Zino. He knew he found the chosen one.
A sword sliced through his back and exited his chest. He dropped the Book to the ground.
In that split second, GZA’s body vanished.
Zino quickly picked it up and ran, Science followed.
Behind them they heard the great civil war of Nerabu under way, as GZA’s followers fought to avenge his murder by the Shogun’s Imperial Court and the corrupt believers who sold out their leader.
